Lozon  Associates can be called in when issues arise in Board Chair / CEO  communication, but the service is not exclusively problem based. Jeff can assist new Chairs in matters such as understanding basic organizational dynamics especially in hospitals where roles are often blurred. 

He   can help Chairs understand the necessity of good government relations, and he   has developed and applied both Board and CEO evaluation processes. He understands the importance of succession planning at executive and board levels. Each offering will be personalized as each set of needs vary.

For  a CEO, Jeff can offer practical advice on excellent communication patterns with Chairs and Boards generally. He understands the importance of transparency while respecting core job functions. His education and advice can be valuable whether it is problem based or skill building.

Achieving   organizational excellence in the Board Chair / CEO nexus is a continuous   process of learning and evolving. There are some fixed rules, but not many. Each situation requires personal understanding and time commitment. 

This   personal commitment will be most required in times of:

• Leadership change, in one or both roles
• Periods of strategy development; probing the  respective Board / CEO roles
• When either party is experiencing dissatisfaction
